Lausanne Marathon

The Lausanne Marathon Festival offers marathon, half marathon, 10 km, and walking races all starting at Place de Milan in Lausanne, Switzerland, and finishing by the Olympic Museum at Bellerive. The marathon and half marathon courses follow the shore of Lake Geneva, passing lakeside communities such as Lutry, Cully, Rivaz, Treytorrens, and Corseaux. Hydration and nutrition stations offer water, fruit, and energy foods at regular intervals along the route. The event provides pacers, massage services, and chip timing for all distances. Runners can collect their bibs at the on-site expo and use locker and shower facilities at the Auguste Piccard College.

Runners enjoy clear support and festive crowd energy throughout the course—especially near the lakefront finish zone. Transportation back to Lausanne is arranged for participants who complete the longer distances. Maximum time limits ensure smooth logistics: six and a half hours for the marathon, four hours for the half marathon, and two hours for the 10 km events.

As a destination race, Lausanne combines strong logistics with excellent sightseeing. After racing, participants can visit the Olympic Museum, walk along the Ouchy waterfront promenade, ride to Sauvabelin Tower for panoramic views, or explore cultural spots like the Lausanne Cathedral and Plateforme 10 art district. Nearby Lavaux vineyards, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offer scenic tours and wine tasting. Transport in and around the city is efficient, making sightseeing before or after the event simple.
