Mainova Frankfurt Marathon

The Mainova Frankfurt Marathon is a premier city running event held in Germany, recognized as one of the world’s fastest urban marathons with consistently elite performances and an organized foundation ideal for both competitive and recreational runners. The certified course begins on Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage and follows a single-loop route on wide, even asphalt avenues through Frankfurt’s diverse districts, crossing the River Main twice and including both modern skyline vistas and traditional neighbourhoods. The elevation change is minimal—under 30 meters across the full length—making it well-suited for personal records and qualifying performances. The event includes chip timing, hydration and nutrition stations every 5 km, pacers, medical support, and live tracking.

Runners finish inside the iconic Festhalle, crossing the line on a red carpet under floodlights—a signature moment celebrated by over 7,000 spectators seated inside the hall.
