The World Cup is coming to California, and the event will extend far beyond the pitch in Los Angeles. From June 11 to July 19, 2026, soccer fans from around the globe can experience almost 40 days of celebrations across the city.
SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles will host eight FIFA World Cup matches in 2026, including three group stage fixtures, two Round of 32 clashes, and a highly anticipated Quarter-Final.
The U.S. Men’s National Team will open its campaign at this world-class venue on June 12, with another group stage appearance on June 25.
SoFi Stadium: Beyond the World Cup
Sports fans visiting Los Angeles during the FIFA World Cup can book guided tours to explore behind-the-scenes areas and get a closer look at SoFi Stadium, one of the world’s most advanced sports venues.
Opened in 2020, the 70,000-seat stadium in Inglewood has already hosted major global events, including Super Bowl LVI, the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup final, and WrestleMania 39. It will also host the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 2028 Olympic Games.

Where Fans Come Together
Beyond the stadium, the centrepiece will be the official FIFA Fan Festival, featuring live match broadcasts, concerts, and food from across the region. Additional Fan Zones will also be announced in key areas of Greater Los Angeles, offering entertainment, family-friendly activities, and community events.
Los Angeles is also home to one of the most passionate and diverse soccer cultures in North America.
For visitors looking to watch World Cup matches with locals, nearly 40 LAFC-affiliated* pubs will serve as gathering spots for fans, from La Chuperia in Lincoln Heights to The Sunset Room in Hacienda Heights.
Global football supporters also make their presence felt across the city — Barcelona fans gather at Underdogs in Glendale, Leeds United supporters at Britannia Pub in Santa Monica, and Mexico’s national team fans fill La Cita Bar with green, white, and red during every match. Each neighbourhood celebrates the tournament with its own style, creating a truly international atmosphere.
For an immersive sports action experience away from the stadium, fans can also book seats in advance at Cosm, an entertainment venue in Inglewood, featuring an 87-foot 8K LED Dome similar to the Sphere in Las Vegas.
Experience Los Angeles Beyond the World Cup
With palm-lined beaches, vibrant neighbourhoods, and cuisine that reflects every corner of the world, Los Angeles offers endless experiences before and after matchdays.
As the U.S. city with the most professional sports franchises, Los Angeles delivers nonstop action year-round. Fans can catch LAFC (Los Angeles FC) and Angel City FC at BMO Stadium, cheer for the 2025 MLB champion LA Dodgers at Dodger Stadium, follow the LA Lakers and Clippers basketball at Crypto.com Arena and the new Intuit Dome, respectively, or experience an NFL live game at SoFi Stadium, when either the Rams or Chargers take the field.
Visitors arriving for the tournament in 2026 will find a city with new attractions and openings timed to coincide with the World Cup. Highlights include the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art and new thrills such as Universal Studios Hollywood’s Fast & Furious Rollercoaster.
A short drive from downtown, visitors can spend a day at Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park in nearby Anaheim—two of the most visited theme parks in the world.
Art and architecture enthusiasts can explore the Getty Center, located high above Brentwood with sweeping views of the city and Pacific Ocean, featuring masterpieces by Van Gogh, Monet, and Rembrandt.
Other must-see highlights include Griffith Observatory and its panoramic views of the Hollywood Sign, The Broad modern art museum in Downtown LA, and the Venice Beach Boardwalk, where the city’s creative energy is always on display—not far from the iconic Santa Monica Pier.

Getting Around
Transportation across Los Angeles continues to improve ahead of 2026. LA Metro will debut a dedicated SoFi Stadium Shuttle and is working to expand rail service, supported by extensive rideshare options and pedestrian-friendly neighbourhoods.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is undergoing a sweeping modernization, highlighted by the Automated People Mover, which will connect terminals, parking, and transit hubs — easing arrivals and departures for World Cup visitors.
