The National Football League (NFL) continues to expand its global footprint in 2025. The league targeted new international markets, aiming to connect sports fans with unique experiences, continue to build relationships worldwide and bring live NFL action to global consumers.
São Paulo, Brazil (Neo Química Arena), Dublin, Ireland (Croke Park Stadium), Berlin (Olympic Stadium) and London — the latter being central to the NFL’s international rollout — have already hosted regular season games this year.
The initial two games in London took place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The third and final game in the UK this year featured the Los Angeles Rams against the Jacksonville Jaguars at the iconic Wembley Stadium on October 19.
Berlin also hosted its first NFL game, as the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Atlanta Falcons in an overtime thriller at the Olympic Stadium on November 9. This was the fifth regular season game held in Germany, following previous games in Munich and Frankfurt.
The 2025 international slate will conclude in Madrid, Spain, on Sunday, November 16, with the Miami Dolphins taking on the Washington Commanders at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of the famed soccer club Real Madrid, marking the league’s first-ever regular-season game in Spain.
“The 2025 International Games schedule showcases an exciting selection of matchups featuring major NFL stars, bringing our game directly to fans around the world, and underscores our collective commitment to global growth as we continue our journey to becoming a truly global sport,” said NFL executive vice president, club business, major events & international, Peter O’Reilly.
For NFL fans worldwide, it is indeed a rare opportunity to catch live football close to the action. And for American fans, also a chance to visit exciting destinations overseas and watch their favourite sport.
